First things first, Congratulations on moving to your new office!

One of the biggest oversights when looking to move office is checking that you will able to move your number to your new office location, as it may not be in the same telephone exchange area, and sometimes it's still not possible to move your number from one exchange to another - even though it is in the same area.

Meaning you could have all the hassle of telling clients of a change of telephone number. However should this be a problem can we guarantee to retain your business telephone number regardless of where you move to, and with the added bonus and peace of mind that all your lines and calls are still carried over the BT network.

Moving your office line - On the same telephone exchange

How much notice should I give you to move the number?
We recommend that you give us at least four to six weeks notice to move all of your services smoothly. You will also need to check with your current provider that you are outside any contract for there services.

I'm not a customer but would like to join Simple Telecoms for my new office line. What do I need to do?

Great We're always very happy to hear you want to move to us!

If you want to keep your number, we'll need to transfer it away from your existing provider before you move to your new office. To do this we will need to book a new line installation, a number move and change of address, all at the same time. And then book this for the date you are looking to move in to your new office. This is normally all done under a Simultaneous Shift. There are some restrictions regarding number retention which can complicate matters, but our staff are trained to check and can advise on alternative arrangements if necessary.

What about my broadband?

If you already have broadband on your current line, and would like to have broadband on the new office line we us, then we need to do the following:

1. Cancel your current broadband service

2. Move the number to the new, or restarted, line

3. Order a new broadband connection at the same time as the new line and number move. (dependent on the broadband service requested)

4. The process takes around 20 working days, so the more notice you can give us, the better.

Simultaneous provide
In most cases we can arrange a Simultaneous provide, which means the new line and the broadband service go live at the same time. However there are some broadband services that are harder to do a Sim provide on, manly FTTC fiber services. If Fiber is required, this would normally need to be installed once the new line as been installed, although BT are now doing a limited amount of sim provides on FTTC installs..

Moving your office line - NOT on the same telephone exchange

This is one of the biggest oversights a business makes when looking to move offices, and that's checking that you will able to move your business number to your new location, as it may not be in the same telephone exchange area, as it may not be possible to move your number from one exchange to another - even though it is in the same area. Meaning you could have all the hassle of telling your clients of a change of telephone number. And the cost to divert the old number.

However should this be a problem can we guarantee to retain your telephone number regardless of where you move to, and with the added bonus and peace of mind that all your lines and calls are still carried over the BT network. We simply port your business number in to the Simple Telecoms VoIP cloud, and then terminate them back to your new office over a VoIP trunk.....simple.
