Home2Phone Package - Low Cost Phone Service For The Elderly

Unlike most other providers, the Home2Phone service is not a call-divert system. Instead, it’s a smart and flexible alternative to a traditional landline. With Home2Phone, your existing home phone number is transferred to a dedicated EE SIM card inside a 4G router with a built-in battery backup. This means you can take your router, and your phone service, with you to almost anywhere.

Switching to a mobile to save money may not be a good idea long term solution

Switching to a mobile phone service to save money from a fixed line might seem like a smart move - but it may not be a good long-term solution. Not everyone finds mobile phones easy to use as time goes on. People can struggle with changing technology, forget to keep their phones charged, or even lose them. And if you disconnect your home number and later want to return to a fixed (digital) line, your number may no longer be available.
Under Ofcom regulations, you only have 30 days after disconnection to reclaim your number - after that, it’s no longer possible.

Need Internet? No Problem - With Home2Phone services, you can add data to your SIM card, giving you full internet access via the router’s WiFi. A data plan can be added or removed at any time, and we have a number of plans to choose from.

The Geemarc X1 Liberty 200 cordless handset and Geemarc CL2000 4G router package provides a simple and reliable home phone solution without the need for a digital fixed landline. The main advantage of this package is that the Liberty handset is fully compatible with the Geemarc 4G router and connects independently, meaning there is no need for a base station and a master handset to be located near the router. This allows the router to be placed wherever the mobile signal is strongest, while the handsets can be used anywhere in the property. The Geemarc Liberty handset is designed for ease of use, with large buttons, clear and loud audio, and a simple menu system, making it ideal for everyday use and for those who need a more accessible phone. The Geemarc 4G router uses the EE 4G mobile network to replace a traditional phone line, offering a plug-and-play setup with no broadband required, while allowing you to keep your home telephone number. Mobile broadband can be added at a later date. And we offer a twin handset option as well. Please note - The 4G router is not sold separately.

✅ Mobile Coverage and Service limitations

Hom2Phone is a mobile-based telephone solution that uses the EE mobile network

Home2Phone operates solely over the EE mobile network. Although the service allows a standard telephone handset to be connected to a 4G router, or used in a GSM phone it remains a mobile-based solution and is not a like-for-like replacement for a fixed digital landline. Performance is dependent on mobile network conditions, including signal strength, local coverage, environmental interference, and network congestion. As a result, users may encounter call quality issues, intermittent service, or dropped calls, common limitations inherent to all mobile services. Mobile network performance, including coverage, is controlled entirely by EE and is outside of our control. Although the service allows a digital telephone handset to be connected to a 4G router, it remains a mobile-based solution, meaning any existing copper extensions will not work.

Please note - that we do not recommend relying on this service for a Care Alarm. Although we do have customers who use Care Alarms with this service, this is done entirely at your own risk. For Care Alarm systems, we strongly recommend using a fixed digital line service, which is more suitable and reliable for this purpose. It is also not suitable for use with any monitored medical systems. Please contact our team for more information on fixed digital lines.
